Central Perk may be a long way from the Golden Gate Bridge, but a Friends experience is opening in San Francisco with a hotel package to match.
The brand new Beacon Grand Hotel in San Francisco’s Union Square just launched a “will be there for you” dedicated Friends hotel package in honor of the upcoming “Friends Experience: The One in San Francisco” pop-up downtown.
Available now and running through early December 2022, Beacon Grand will offer “The One in Union Square” package, for both locals and travelers to reminisce about the 90s sitcom. Located less than three blocks away from the pop-up experience, the property aims to be a home base for Friends fans.
“The One in Union Square” package includes an overnight stay in a Grand King Guestroom, complete with a TV to watch Friends in bed, of course, plus an in-room Friends trivia game to test your knowledge. The package also includes two complimentary Friends cocktails at the hotel bar, Beacon Lounge, including the Smelly Cat Sangria, How You Doin’ Daiquiri, Pivot! Punch, or You’re My Lobster. Two complimentary drinks during “Central Perk Cocktail Hour” will be available from 4 – 6 p.m. daily, with themed coffee-based cocktails including Rachel’s Black Out Latte and Chandler’s Espresso Macchiato.
Hotel guests can also tap the hotel’s Social Hosts to procure tickets to the nearby pop-up.
The Friends Experience has locations in New York, Toronto and Paris, with the touring San Francisco location opening on October 13, following stops in Denver and Washington D.C. The exhibit features artifacts, costumes, recreated sets and more memorabilia from 10 seasons of Friends, plus plenty of themed merch to buy. Tickets start at $42.50 for adults.
